Anime North is coming fast, and I'm actually not too stressed about it this year. I'm taking things easy right now, but I'm about to kick it into over-drive (starting tomorrow).
The first thing I got working on was my Venomania Kaito. Shown to the left is the skirts before the waistband was put in. I just need to iron them now to get rid of the fold creases in the satin.
I have the top started with having the blue, just need to adjust the neck and put the white in. And then it's the ribbons and everything. and then the jacket, necktie, and belt. I'm waiting on my wigs to arrive.
I can't believe I need two wigs for this cosplay. The normal blue one I won't have to do anything to, but I'm going to have fun with the blond wig. Never put a bun in a wig before.
It took me 11-12 hours to hand sew the ribbon onto the skirts of the costume. And then half an hour to go over it with my sewing machine. Now I'm trying to problem solve about the top. MOM TO THE RESCUE!
Also got to working on my Blake Belladonna cosplay from RWBY. Shoes are ready save for the giant buttons that I need to make.
I found a pair of black leggings in my drawer so I've been painting the purple gradient on by hand, and I made the shorts over the course of a couple of hours.
Still the top, arm pieces, hair bow, corset, and weapon to do. Well, and the wig, but I'm waiting for that to arrive right now. I'm so excited to be Blake, my best friend is being Roman Torchwick with me - I just need to get the material for his coat and scarf.
Also got to work on my Condesce cosplay finally starting this weekend. It's just the fin ears, but they're now 90% done. Now painted t5hem grey with pink in the membrane, so just need to secure bobby pins to the backs so I can hook them onto my ears :D
Otherwise, still need to get material for the bodysuit, the ribbons for it, more jewelry, the shoes... so much left to get for her. At least I have the wig on order, a friend is making me my horns, and I have foam for some of the jewelry and the crown/tiara.
Back to work I go! And tomorrow, back to actual sewing!
