My review & opinion of the first episode of the new anime for Sailor Moon; Sailor Moon Crystal.
People often ask me what my true view of Homestuck is. Well, that can be hard to describe sometimes as I never know which aspect they're talking about.
I love different aspects for different reasons.
The story itself I love because it's complex and unique. While it can be hard for me to follow, it keeps me interested and that's truly difficult for a lot of online stories. Bonus the characters are believable and I'm able to relate to a lot of them in some form.
The comic itself is great, even though I don't always think that about the art. But... I should give my fullview on Homestuck, what I hate and what I love. You will soon understand why this blog entry is titled "Love/Hate Relationship With Homestuck Fandom".
I normally don't allow people into my personal life, but considering what I wrote near the start of the year, this feels oddly appropriate now. And if it weren't for that, I probably wouldn't be writing this.
I have reached a point this year where I am so fed up with other people's bullshit and drama, that I am going to avoid said people from now on. They are not worth my time if they go on about the same things over and over again.
That's right, there's the possibility that I'll be adding another section to my website.
I'm pretty excited with good reason! This summer I have friends coming up to my family cottage, which is a first since 2010!
Often my friends are unable to come to my cottage because of our conflicting schedules or other reasons. But this year, a few of my friends from home are coming up this weekend to stay and have fun with me. I'm hoping to take them over to a place I just discovered this week that is super pretty!
As well next weekend my dear friend CosplayCanada is coming to visit with his mom! The Haliburton Highland Games are supposed to be going on at the same time, so I'm not sure if I'm going to that or not. But we will be painting a prop of his as well as making some cosplay videos. What of? Tavernstuck Mom Lalonde & Dad Egbert, as well as LCBOstuck. I may see if he'll bring Dave to do some photos, and I'm working on getting his Grell coat done so there may be test photos to see how he looks as Grell.
I'm supposed to have my boyfriend Raybras and friend Marx come up some weekend and have fun too! I don't know when this will be though.
As well I still need to start working on Izayoi for Otakuthon, and get some grey body paint for Tavros. I really need to get on those. And fix his horns. Ah summer, this year is leisurely compared to last.
Cosplay Does Not Equal Consent.
I'd like to share my views in this to add to the "Cosplay Does Not Equal Consent" movement. Which I highly agree with and am glad to see that there is a stand being taken against creepers and perverts.
I really need to cut back on cosplaying Grell Sutcliff from Kuroshitsuji. People have been thinking that he's really all I cosplay and are not recognizing the other costumes that I do. And this is rather affecting my view of my cosplaying. And it's not good.
It was brought to my attention earlier by a friend of mine that someone asked at Con-G if I am dating *CosplayCanada. When my friend asked why the explanation was because he and I were always together at the convention, how we act with one another, and how we laughed and reminisced and everything so easily. So naturally I must be dating him!
Well, I am NOT dating him! I do have a boyfriend. And it' s not him. I am dating ~Raybras, who I have been with for nearly five years! Yes we have a distant relationship, but we are committed to each other and love each other with all our hearts.
This is my boyfriend:
